NSJS a non-profit organization was founded in 1997 when a group of women came together to organize a united forum for fighting against the atrocities on women. We have been working for the welfare of women and children to bring social awakening regarding their rights. The organization initially operated at New Delhi and gradually expanded into other states namely Uttranchal and Punjab. |

| Since then the branches penetrated into the remote, hilly and rural areas to work towards fulfilling its objective to benefit the underprivileged, poor, down trodden women and children. |

| What has been most encouraging and motivating for us as an organization, is that all our branches came into existence through demand of the local womenfolk of various regions after having acknowledged the untiring efforts put in by Nari Shakti Jagran Samiti. |

| Since its conception, the organization has been working for education, rehabilitation, legal and human right, training and employment, welfare and empowerment of women and children. |
